“Progress is good, and the patient seems to have made a full recovery, with no ill effects that we are aware of. Patient can move a mouse around the screen by just thinking”.

Musk said in a Spaces event through platform X.

When Reuters requested additional information recently, Neuralink didn’t respond right away. However, we know that the company successfully placed a chip inside its first human volunteer last month, following approval to begin recruiting participants for human trials in September.

What is Elon Musk’s Neuralink brain chip?

Neuralink, started by Elon Musk, creates a tiny gadget called the “neural lace” that links your brain to outside tech while staying put inside. This device flows wireless transmission of info from the mind to other devices. Creating a solid connection between our brains and computers as well as enabling easy and direct communication with them is the main purpose of this.

What does the Neuralink brain chip do and how does it work?

The disk will pick up brain signals and send them to a device like a smartphone using Bluetooth. Elon Musk mentioned that the initial product, named Telepathy, will let individuals operate their phones or computers simply by thinking.
Neuralink is confident that it can help individuals in many ways with neurological conditions. Elon Musk mentioned that the first users would likely be those who have lost the ability to use their limbs.

How much will the Neuralink brain chip cost?

Don’t fret about the cost of getting a brain chip implant from Neuralink.
Initially, it may be expensive when it becomes available to the public. Elon Musk aims to reduce the cost of the chip and surgery to a few thousand dollars.
